How do I get my child involved with Play In A Day?
Getting involved with Play In A Day is easy. Simply visit the sign ups page for your location and fill out the AUDITION form. You will be contacted with a confirmation via e-mail within 48 hours of submitting your form.
What do we need to prepare for the audition?
Auditions are submitted with a video. You'll get the music track and lyrics to practice with your audition confirmation. Take as many tries as you'd like to get your best video, submit and you are done! Everyone who auditions will receive the casting email one week before the event.
What happens after the audition?
The cast list will be sent out one week before the event. Once you accept your role, you will receive your script and music to practice.
If I don't want to be on stage can I still help?
Of course! If you are 12-18 years old you can work on the crew for the show. You'll need to get your creative juices flowing because the crew will work to pull sets, costumes and props the night before the show. Crew then comes back to the theater at 12:00pm, click on the your location under PLAY IN A DAY at the top of this page to get started. Crew is limited to the first 25 kids who sign up.
My son/daughter wants to participate, can I help too?
Here at Play In A Day, anyone who wants to help, can. We will find a place where we can use your expertise or put you wherever you feel comfortable helping out. Just fill out the volunteer form on your location page under PLAY IN A DAY at the top of this page.
Can I get tickets?
You can, and you can bring all of your friends and family too!
I have friends from out of town who want to participate, can they?
Yes they can! They are more than welcome to sign up in any role they feel comfortable.
